Meet Chef Brandon

Brandon Clark

Chef Brandon Clark baked his first dozen cookies from scratch at 8 years old. It was this first foray into cooking that he learned the difference between a teaspoon and tablespoon by adding too much salt. Since that time, Chef Brandon has learned much more about cooking than he ever dreamed he could while spending 25 years in the hospitality industry.

At 15, Chef Brandon got his first job in a kitchen. He worked his way up from dishwasher to lead line cook in less than two years. Eventually, he would discover a whole new ball-game in the culinary world by working at various restaurants in Ann Arbor, including Zingerman’s Roadhouse. While building his resume, he even managed to spend three growing seasons on an organic farm planting, tending to, and harvesting various crops.

Chef Brandon is passionate about providing the residents with wholesome recipes made from scratch. Some of the recipes have even come from the residents themselves. When not working with the hospitality team to provide great service to the residents, Chef Brandon enjoys reading, gardening and biking the linear path in Battle Creek, where he now resides.
